Captain Charles McAnally Family Cemetery, Walnut Cove, Stokes County, North Carolina, USA

Captain Charles McAnally Family Cemetery

Notes:
From 89 towards Danbury, NC, take a right on Dodgetown Rd, towards the Dan River. Take a left on McAnally Rd. Go straight untill you come to a gate. You will need permission from Garreth and Ann Meadows of Walnut Cove, to go onto the property. Once past the gate, drive down to the farm house (which is the origonal house built by Captain Charles McAnally in 1785. The Meadows have restored it to its former glory, have tried to keep it as origional as possible, and even have McAnally family photos and information through out! They are great about sharing the plantation with McAnally descendants!). Walk back through the field past the large barn, and keep walking back untill you see an old rusted water tank trailer at the edge of the woods to your right. Just past that is a path way leading back into the woods to the cemetery, which is enclosed in a nice metal fence.
