  	She was found in her wrecked automobile, by Apache Indians August 23, 1971 between Counselor and Cuba, New Mexico, five months after her death. Her car had gone off the highway, through a fence, through a field and into a river bed or creek bed, not visible from the highway. She was traveling alone back to her home in Ruidoso, New Mexico after visiting her daughter in Farmington, New Mexico and it appeared she was the victim of a one car accident, with no witnesses. She had been the subject of a nationwide search (by the FBI and her son, Angelo McAnally) since she disappeared on March 30th.
